Rev. Rev. Sam Varughese was born and raised in Kuwait, where his parents (Rev. T.E. Varughese & Joyamma Varughese) had been working for several years. His childhood has been a testimony of several miraculous healings, which were instrumental in his salvific experience in Christ Jesus. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 7 and was later baptized at the age of 12. He moved to Kerala along with his parents in response to a call to full time ministry that his parents received. God blessed Sam to minister through music, leading worship, preaching, and through literary works at a very young age.

At age 15, he dedicated his life to serve the Lord and commit to ministry. He holds a B.A degree from Fatima Mata National College in Kollam. He commenced his theological training at India Bible Seminary in Kumbanadu.

In 2004, he moved to the U.S. to further his education. He earned an Advanced Diploma in Worship and Technical Arts from CFNI in Dallas, and a M.Div. degree from Criswell College in Dallas. While in Dallas, Rev. Sam served as an Associate Minister of a multi-cultural AG church in Rowlett, TX. He also served as the Youth Director at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Richardson, TX prior to moving to Houston. Meanwhile, he has been working as a Clinical Chaplain for the past 6 years.

Rev. Sam is an ordained minister through the Indian Pentecostal Church of God and also an active member of the Association of Professional Chaplains. He is passionate about discipleship, mentoring and shaping a generation to serve the Lord in a diverse and changing culture. He is married to his lovely wife Christina, who is a teacher by profession and they are together blessed with 3 beautiful girls; Evelyn, Abigail and Rachel.
