Rev. Fr. M. K. Kuriakose was born to Mr. Korah and Mrs. Annamma of Madathikudy branch of the Murimattom family on July 15, 1948 in Koliyadi, a village near Sulthan Bathery in Wayanad District of State of Keralam, India. Education: Elementary education in Koliyadi village and high school education at Government High School, Sulthan Bathery, Pre-Degree (11th and 12th) at St. Mary’s College, Suthan Bathery, Graduate of Sacred Theology (Orthodox Theological Seminary Kottayam, Keralam 1971), Bachelor of Divinity (1972, United Theological College, Bangalore), Master of Theology (Church History, 1975, UTC, Bangalore), M.A (Archives Management, 1978, National Archives of India, New Delhi), M.S. (Library Science, 1984, Columbia University, New York), M.A. (Indian History, 1989 Mysore University, Mysore, India).

Ordained deacon on April 21, 1970 and priest on August 31, 1975. Served St. Gregorios Orthodox Church, Bangalore (1975-79) St. George Orthodox Church, Bangalore (1979-81), St. Thomas Orthodox Church Bangalore East (1981-83, 1985-89, St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s Orthodox Church, Sparkill, New York (1989-1996), and St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, Philadelphia (1996-present). Also served as Director of Sunday Schools in Bangalore; in American Diocese as MGOCSM Vice President, Family and Youth Conference Coordinator; chairman of the Ecumenical Fellowship of Indian Churches in Philadelphia and Chairman/Secretary of Malankara Orthodox Fellowship of Pennsylvania.
