Rev. Fr. T George was born to P. V. Thankachen and Mariamma Thankachen of Perumbral family. He was born and brought up in Alleppey, Kerala, India and after graduation he relocated to Trivandrum. He had his theological education from the Orthodox Theological Seminary, Kottayam. He was ordained as a priest in 2000 at St George Orthodox Cathedral, Trivandrum. He is married to Cicy George, and has fathered four children - Gregy, Serin, Merin and Nathan. Currently, he is living in Drogheda, Ireland. He has obtained special training in Music, Counselling and Communication. He had served YMCA, Rotary International, Kerala Students Congress, Orthodox Student Movement of India, Service Society for Physically Challenged Children, in various capacities. He is the founder patron of Merin George Foundation( Ireland). He received the ' Social Responsibility Award' instituted by World Malayalee Council, (Ireland Province) in the year 2017. He is a gifted singer, orator and a writer.
