Rev Samuel Gift Stephen, a native Singaporean, has committed his life to serving and helping every person, regardless of background and economic status, to achieve their fullest potential. Having taken over the reigns as Senior Pastor of Smyrna Assembly, Samuel worked alongside his father, The Late Rev. Dr. John Sam Stephen, for 10 years, and took Smyrna's positive message of hope to over thousands of households throughout the World.
Pastor Samuel’s ministry exemplifies church growth, leadership and discipleship training, church planting, outreach and evangelism. Pastor Samuel has trained and equipped many churches in Singapore and internationally and has Spoken in many large conferences and leadership seminars. Throughout his ministry, Pastor Samuel has traveled to more than 40 nations doing mission work and preaching the gospel.
Pastor Samuel is the Senior Pastor of Smyrna Assembly as well as the Founder and President of “Smyrna Assembly Global Alliance (SAGA)” which is set out to form alliance across the globe, regardless of language, race or economy status. While supplying much needed resources, services and materials to 3rd World Nations. Pastor Samuel is also the Founder and President of “Smyrna Assembly Leadership Training Center (SALT)” which was designed to equip individuals to be effective spirit-empowered leaders in their respective ministry. He continues to mentor, guide and inspire a new generation of leaders. His passion is to build the Kingdom of God as he helps God’s people to be empowered to fulfill their destiny in Christ. Pastor Samuel also functions in many Government and Christian Organizations.
Pastor Samuel and the Smyrna Assembly family theme for life and ministry is to bring God's healing touch to the nations. Healings, ranging from cancer to broken bones, to learning disorders and emotional healing, happen with regularity. And these works of God are not limited to healing meetings. The church is learning how to take this anointing to the schools, workplace, and neighborhoods with similar results. Pastor Samuel teaches that we owe the world an encounter with God, and that a Gospel without power is not the Gospel that Jesus preached.
Pastor Samuel is married to Grace Deborah Samuel who works alongside him in Empowering people to touch the heart of God and fulfill the plans of God. They have two daughters, Emmanuella and Daniella.
