She is a part of Chirathilattu family of Ithithanam, Changannassery, Kottayam. Achen got 3 children, Anugraha Susan Sam(+2, Rajagiri Public School, Kalamassery), Angela Ann Sam(IX, Indian School Bahrain) and Chrisly Mariam Sam(IV, Indian School Bahrain).Has one brother Mr. Sajan George, working in South Africa.
He has his school education from A.M.M.H.S.Othera. After completing his graduation in Mathematics from Christian College Chengannur, He went to Karyavattom Campus, Thiruvananthapuram for completing his post-graduation in M.A. Sociology. Later he completed his Bachelor of Divinity(BD) from Mar Thoma Theological Seminary, Kottayam.
