Fr. Blessen Varughese was born on 30th May 1978 at Ranni, Perunad to V Varughese and Marykutty Varughese. His home parish is St Thomas Orthodox Church, Bethany. He was consecrated as a deacon on 17th May 2005 at Parumala Semianry by Late H.G Paulose Mar Pachamios. He was consecrated as a Priest on 25th July 2006 at Bethany St Thomas Orthodox Church, Bethany by H.G Augen Mar Dionysius, Metropolitan of Idukki Diocese.
He has offered service at St Peter's Orthodox Church Pullikanam, Vagamon; St Gregorius Orthodox Church Pambanar; St Mary's Orthodox Church Karikulam and St Thomas Orthodox Church Angamoozy. He has also served 2 years at Yemen St Mary's Orthodox Church(2009-2011).
He is married to Jisha Susan Blessen and is blessed with a beautiful daughter, Ruth Mariam Varughese. He was also a teacher of Liturgical Music at St Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary Nagpur.
