This parish started as a mission of Knanaya Region of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago on July 21, 2007. Rev. Fr. George Pakkuvettithara was the director in charge. Rev. Fr. Stephen Vettuvelil was appointed as the director of this mission on September 13, 2009. Fr. Jemy Puthusseril was the mission director from March 10, 2013. Fr. Jose Adoppallil was appointed as the mission director on October 18, 2014.

This mission bought a church from the Archdiocese of Miami at 1105 NW 6th Ave., Fort Lauderdale. The church was consecrated on Sunday, May 31, 2015 by His Excellency Mar Jacob Angadiath. His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakkatt, and His Grace Most Rev. Bishop Thomas Wensky, Archbishop of Miami were concelebrants. Mar Jacob Angadiath elevated this mission as a parish on the same day with Fr. Jose Adoppallil as its first pastor. His Grace Mar Mathew Moolakkatt inaugurated the new church in the meeting that followed.

Fr. Suni Padinjarekkara served as the pastor of this parish on December 15, 2015 to April 30, 2018. Fr. Joseph Sauriamakil was pastor from May 1, 2018 to August 18, 2020. Fr. Jose Chirappurath is the present pastor from August 18, 2020.

This parish serves around 85 Knanaya Catholic families living in South Florida.
