In the beginning of this mission, Rev. Fathers from Gnanapuram parish star ted to visit Kailasapuram and surrounding areas regularly. Slowly they started to celebrate Holy Mass and prayer meetings in one of the Houses. In 1988 the people occupied a piece of land and put up a thatched shed and star ted prayer services regularly. In 1989, the Collector of Visakhapatnam gave this land for church purpose on lease. Then we constructed an asbestos prayer hall. Rev. Fathers Varghese Kollamparambil and Mathew Muthukattil spent a lot of energy to bring up this mission. Fr. Varghese built a grotto of Velangani Matha and Fr. Mathew built a Calvary. Later it becomes one of the sub-stations of Lourdhu Matha Parish. Every Saturday and alternative Sundays fathers used to celebrate Holy Mass.

In 2004 Archbishop K. Mariadas entrusted this mission to Claretains, and erected it as a parish. In 2009 a beautiful church was constructed by the province.
