Seethanagaram was originally a sub-station of Bobbili parish. It was itself a parish some time in the past. Later on it was suppressed and brought under Bobbili. Of late in the year 2000 along with Badangi and Pithapuram Seethanagaram was also made a Parish. The new parish of Seethanagaram has been formed by taking villages from Uttaravalli, Bobbili, Vengapuram, and Makkuwa Missions. Seethanagaram parish is entrusted to TOR fathers. Holy Cross sisters of Hazaribagh purchased some land and they are yet to star t their apostolate.
