Melbourne Christian Assembly formally known as Melbourne Pentecostal Assembly is a biblical based Pentecostal church in Melbourne Australia, and is the founding member and the first Malayalee Pentecostal Church affiliated to Indian Pentecostal Church of God (IPC) Australia Region.
In 1984 the Lord brought Pastor Thomas George & family to Melbourne, Australia.
During that time the Malayalee community in Melbourne was only few in numbers and there were no Malayalam speaking prayer meetings or churches in Australia.
With the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit Pastor Thomas George started the first Malayalee prayer meeting in 1988 with few people at his then residence 15 Calverton Road Kealba, Victoria .That was the first Malayalam speaking prayer fellowship in Australia.
In 1989 Pastor Thomas George pioneered the first Malayalee Pentecostal Church and had the first Malayalee Pentecostal convention in 1990. The church has since grown many folds and caters to the spiritual needs of many believers of the Indian Pentecostal Christian Community in Melbourne and other states.
