St. Stephens Orthodox Church, Dilshad Garden, Delhi, is named after St. Stephen the very first martyr in the name of Christianity, a one and only in Delhi Diocese and a rare in Indian Orthodox church as a whole, is one of the parishes in the Delhi Diocese of the Indian Orthodox Church. This parish was declared on 21st July 1996 by late Dr Paulos Mar Gregorios, the first Metropolitan of Delhi Diocese, Holy Qurbana and all other obligatory services were celebrated regularly at P-1/A-3, Dilshad Garden, Delhi – 95 (a Janta Flat) till January 2004 and subsequently at PSP Area, Opp. DDA Sports Complex, Delhi-110093, since then. With the efforts of the members and then Vicars, a piece of 400 sq.mtrs of land was allotted by the DDA on 18.1.2001 at PSP area, Opp. Sports Complex, Dilshad Garden, Delhi.

Right from inception, spiritual organization functions very well. This parish has been extending its cooperation to the community service of the church in general and had been in the limelight of social service activities taken up independently in and around Dilshad Garden. His Grace Job Mar Philoxenos, the Metropolitan of the Delhi Diocese on 19th Aug, 2001, laid the foundation stone of the Church and consecrated and dedicated the Church on 19th Feb, 2006.His Grade Job Mar Philoxenos, laid the foundation stone of the Kurissumthotti (Kalkurisu) in the name of St. Mary, in front of the church on 12th Oct, 2008 and dedicated on 26th July 2009. It is all the more gratifying that the Kurissumthotti is designed in the conventional mode of Indian Orthodox Church.
