Visakhapatnam is considered to be the fastest growing city in the world. People working in different factories star ted finding their dwellings in the outskir ts of Visakhapatnam as there is no place in the city. That is how the Madhurawada Village came to be. Catholics from Gnanapuram, and other city parishes star ted making their permanent settlements in Madhurawada. Two colonies of catholic houses are coming up in the vicinity of Madhurawada. In order to catter to the needs of the catholic faithful, a parish is erected in 1994 and is entrusted to the TOR Fathers. Now they have a school and a Parochial home. Church is yet to be constructed.
